How do I commission you?
If you are interested in hiring me, please feel free to contact me via email at Northern Raven with "commission" in the subject line.
What information should I include?
You should include a detailed description of what you would like me to create for you. Also, what format you would like the image saved under (.png .jpg .gif) and if you would like a physical copy mailed to you. (This does not apply to Furcadia Remapable Portraits.)
How and when do I pay you?
I accept payments through PayPal only. Direct payments to northern_raven@hotmail.com | |
How long will it take for you to finish?
If I accept the commission, it can take anywhere from a couple of days to a month depending on the complexity of the project and how busy I am.
How will I know if you are working on the commission? (How do I know that I'm getting what I really wanted?)
All my work takes place in stages. It begins with rough conceptual sketches which I will show to you. That is when you will get to give me more direction and ensure that I am creating for you what you had in mind. Should the project take more than a week, I will email snap-shots/scans of the progress to you, or have them posted here on my site.
If something comes up that interferes with the work (ie: sick, relative dying, losing an eye?) the news will be posted on the front page.
Do your prices include shipping costs?
Shipping costs are not included in the price of the commission. The cost varies depending on where the art has to be delivered to, and the size of the work itself. An approximate price will be quoted to you at your request before I begin the work. Standard ground mail + the special envelope and packing should not cost more than $4 however. All art will be shipped flat.
How can I use the artwork you have created for me?
I'm glad you asked! This is a very important question. You may use the commissioned art for your personal webpage, and for displaying at home for your own personal enjoyment. However, you may not re-sell the work in any shape or form. You may not claim that you created the image yourself. You may not alter my work (ie change the colors, draw over it, or otherwise run it through various filters in art programs ect.)
