Toronto Sportsmen Show
There was much to do and see at the 2001 Toronto Sportsmen Show.
I had a great time touring the motorhomes and the camper trailers, as well
as the power boats and fishing boats. The Ministry of Natural Resources
had a nature-themed exhibit and the Canadian
Peregrine Foundation displayed various birds of prey for the general
public to see. These pictures were taken with the Nikon Coolpix 880
digital camera on Sunday, March 18, 2001.
To conserve space space and to increase loading time, most of these
pictures have been scaled down to a lower resolution. Pictures that
are high resolution are marked with a "(Hi-Res)"
description. If there is a picture that you would like to see in
high-resolution, please
contact me
and I can give you an email copy. Thanks for visiting The Eagle's
Nest.

for spotting the "Free Gift" sign. Anyone want a free peregrine falcon
to take home?
-
Mysterious Falcon I think this is
a Lanner falcon, though I am not sure. Anyone want to correct me?

Harris Hawk The hawk is there among
all those people.

Artwork
Various art exhibitors were on site at the Toronto Sportsmen Show.
Here are some of the expensive artwork pieces that were available for sale.
Ministry of Natural Resources
The Ministry of Natural Resources is the Ontario government department
responsible for setting rules and regulations about the wildlife and provincial
parks. They also issue hunting license, logging permits, and other
activities related to the natural environment. These next shots are
photos of their exhibits. The birds you see here are all stuffed,
display animals.
-

Resources". A sign hanging from the ceiling.

-
Peregrine Falcons One falcon with

North American Wildlife Exhibit
These next few pictures depict some of the North American wildlife that
exist in Canada. They are stuffed animal exhibits.
Miscellaneous Photos
Here are various images of fun things that I photographed at the Toronto
Sportsmen Show. I thought about a particular, long-time (and old-time)
friend of mine when I saw the VW bus.
-
Bald Eagle Cover Someone told me
that you slap this cover on top of a vehicle? I don't know about
that, but I love the bald eagle design! Cool!
-
